Let me be clear, it will not skip the YT ads, Hulu ads, or any ads on the music apps. AdGuard Home - this is basically a local DNS (exactly like a Pi-hole), installing it on a cheap device like RasPi + configuring the DNS on the router will give you ad blocking option at the router level, means any devices that is connected to the router will be ad-free. AdGuard VPN - you can use this to unblock geo restricted content just like any other VPN service out there.ģ. You can block ads on all the websites you visit, In the past it worked on YT ads, hulu and others, not sure whether it is the same now.Ģ. If you only care to block ads on the default mobile browser then app with basic filters without subscription is good enough. If you want to block banner ads on iOS or Android apps then you have to trust the VPN certificate, or else your ad blocking capability will be limited to the default device browser(example Safari on iOS) This subscription will give you access to enable premium ad filters + fake VPN(basically points back to the localhost/0.0.0.0) on the device(iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux) you install the app. I personally don't see a reason to purchase this, but for people who are interested in knowing what this does.
